People come to me struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, sexuality, identity, trauma, and other forms of psychological distress. I offer psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults and adolescents in Greenwich Village, New York City, working with suffering that is often difficult to name, understand, or change.

When the world around us feels as though it is falling apart, or something within us seems to be coming undone, we may withdraw, shut down, or turn against ourselves in an effort to hold things together. Yet the very ways we protect ourselves can leave us increasingly alone, anxious, or caught in painful patterns that insight alone cannot change. Sometimes no diagnosis quite captures the problem—only a growing sense that something in one's life, relationships, or experience of oneself can no longer continue as it has.

If you are considering psychoanalysis or psychotherapy, you are welcome to contact me to arrange an initial consultation. We can discuss what brings you to treatment, any questions you may have, and whether working together might be useful.
